Give your system a bost every now and then by taking steps to revitalise your energy levels. If you are very busy or have been unwell, it can leave you feeling sluggish and listless. Taking time regularly to recharge will infuse you with vitality. Here are some tips for revitalising yourself: some are quick fixes others will need more time and dedication.
- Revitalising yourself through nourishing food - is the perfect place to start. The food on our plates today is not as nutritious as it was 10 years ago. Intensive farming, chemicals, supermarkets and the fast pace of life all contribute to poorer quality. If you are fortunate to be able to buy farm fresh or even produce your own then you stand a better chance of having the right level of vitamins etc in your diet.
- Think about the food you eat. Eating sugary foods will give you an instant high however, will ultimately make you feel slow and sluggish. A detox can bring a new sense of vitality and regenerate your system. Try spring cleaning your body by eating raw fruit and vegetables and unprocessed seeds, nuts and grains, which improve cellular functioning and increase stamina and energy.
- Try a weekend detax or fast.
- Use colour therapy to revitalise yourself. Red, the colour of energy, can stimulate vitality and can also promote self-confidence, courage, stability, security, passion and physical activity.
