A Message from Noelyne....
I love this TV programme, don't you? I know it's not everyone's cup of tea however, it's inspirational to me because it brings hope to so many people, even if only for a very short while.... Most people are searching for the one thing that will make the difference to their life, the one thing that will transform their lives. The people queueing patiently to meet the X-Factor panel believe that it's there chance of fame and fortune and to be recognised for their unique talents. They are chasing a dream.
Like for so many of the X-Factor hopefuls it is constantly elusive and life just doesn't measure up on the scales of success.
What is it that you are chasing?
Do you constanly wish you had more? Perhaps you look at the neighbours or friends and wish you had what they seem to have?
Instead of focusing on the parts that are missing or the negatives do a mind flip and look at everything that you've already got that's good. Friends, family, partner, books, music, a place of your own. Make sure you give enough time to these.
In the little book 'The Science of Getting Rich' Wallace Wattles talks of 'not wasting time trying to figure out some strange, unusual or remarkable action to perform as the first step toward getting rich. Just do what you normally do but with a new attitude, point of view, mindset'
I qualifed as an NLP Master Practitioner a few years ago and this transformed my life through showing me how to change my mindset and have a new attitude and view of the world. In my training and workshops I use the tools and techniques of NLP to help transform other peple's lives too. My new Membership site is packed full of hints and tips on getting the most out of life.
Enjoy your own personal X-Factor,

Well-Being and Wellness
Image by alancleaver_2000 via FlickrA Message from Noelyne...
Well-being
Health can be defined as 'A state of complete physical, social and mental well-being and not merely the absence of disease and infirmity' True well-being happens when you achieve collaboration of the body and mind. Balance and harmony are two words that I also associate with well-being.
Here's some tips for creating well-being:
- Take a few moments each day to get yourself back on track. Create balance and harmony through meditation or yoga. Find a peaceful space, focus on your natural breathing and give your mind time off from the stresses of daily life to get back your balance and inner harmony
- Take up the gentle exercise of Tai Chi - it helps to bring back balance through breathing exercises and gentle stretches
- Use your personal time to focus on your positive points and achievements. Keep a success diary and add to it weekly
- Use positive thinking to boost your self-esteem and learn to accept others appreciation of you.
Wellness
Keeping well is the best gift you can give yourself. Everything else comes together when your health is at it's best. Yet it's all to easy to take wellness for granted until it's gone. I've recently snapped a few fibres in my knee as a result of falling on the ski slopes and the binding not releasing. It really brought home how important it is to take care of our joints and muscles. It's been a reminder to me to take it easy and listen to my body.
Top tips for creating wellness
- Eat healthily and remember to practice good hygiene when preparing food.
- Get moving - one of the best things you can do is to get some form of exercise
- Think well - believe that you can manage your own health and that you have a strong healthy immune system.
- Get plenty of rest - it's essential to get your recommended amount of sleep, this does vary so work out what you need.
Be well!

Vitality
Image by Ed Yourdon via FlickrHow much vitality do you have? Do you have low levels of energy? Every little bug, cold, stomach upset whittles away at your body's store of vital energy.
How would you like to feel full of energy again? It's possible to get your bounce back by following a few of these tips.
Eat super foods - rich in immune boosting vitamins and minerals. Green, orange and yeloow vegetables provide a rich source of antioxidants. Garlic and Propolis (a natural antibiotic) ward off infections to keep the body healthy.
Drink Aloe Vera gel first thing in the morning to kickstart your system. It detoxes and is also an excellent source of all the essential vitamins, minerals and amino acids that the body needs.
Lack of sleep can zap your body of vital energy and lower the immune system so if you have trouble getting off the sleep then drink calming tea such as camomile before bedtime - if you don't like camomile try the ones with honey added.
Reduce your stress levels as this is another major culprit in depleting the body's natural defences. Find time for an aromatherapy bath, with lavender or rosemary essential oils to ease away the day. Alternatively try a massage with you partner.
Enjoy recharging those batteries.

Unity and Understanding
Image by Aditya Grandhi via FlickrSo often unhappiness comes from a lack of understanding of your own needs and the needs of others. Relationship are what makes the world go round in both work, personal life and business. So you don't enjoy good relationships with the people in your life you may not be being as successful and happy as you could be.
The secret of healthy, happy relationships is understanding yourself and others. Think back to your last disagreement: do you understand your feelings about what was said? Have the other person's motivations and objections become clear? Did you really listen to what they were trying to say, or were you too busy thinking of your own answer to pay attention?
If you're finding it hard to communicate with an important person in your life then you may want to talk things through with a Relationship Coach or Counsellor. Talking things through with a stranger can often help you to see things from a different point of view and forces you to listen to one another.
Try these to improve your understanding of yourself and others
1. Turn your head from side to side and then in circles. Run the back of your neck and throat - a tense neck indicates that you don't want to hear or communicate truthfully.
2. Write down all the things you wish you could say without repurcussion.
3. Imagine a turquoise flower at your throat, opening as you breathe in lightly and closing as you breathe out. Imagine yourself saying all the things you want to say honestly and calmly.
4. As you speak imagine the chakra flower becoming a deep blue violet. This brilliant colour is the chakra of listening to your higher self and speaking how you truly feel.
Understand yourself first the you wil be better placed to understand others.
Enjoy!

Time - How to make time for you?
A Message from Noelyne...
If you are having trouble finding time for yourself, then maybe it's time you planned for it. Time management skills don't have to begin and end at work. It is important to assess how much time you have and manage it efficiently, so that there is room for 'me' time. Otherwise you will find when you stop to have a relaxing bath or have lunch with a friend, your mind will still be your To do list.
Here's some tips.

Here's some tips.
- Work out a realistic schedule for your week. I use one of Stephen Coveys templates from his excellent book 'The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People' to plan my week and do that every Sunday. Put the tasks you want to do in order of importance High, Medium and Low or A, B, C. Then make sure you schedule them in focusing on A tasks every day.
- Allocate free time for you every day
- If something unexpected comes up just reschedule the list of priorities. Think about whether you can delegate any of the tasks or ask a friend or family to help.
- Create a sanctuary just for you. A spare room, a corner of a room and fill it with your favourite things such as books and photos.

Self-esteem - How do you feel about yourself?
Image by toastforbrekkie via FlickrHow do you feel about yourself? Feeling good about yourself is as essential to your health as a well balanced diet and exercise. Confidence allows you to feel that anything is possible. Here are some tips to help you feel better about yourself. I cover this in much more detail on my other blog Personal Achievement Specialist at www.noelynejones.com
- Recognise your strengths - Make a list of your good points, big or small. Being proud of your abilities is not showing off, but a healthy attitude. From being an expert at computers to making a mean coffee list them all.
- Allow yourself some mistakes - Mistakes are how you grow and develop as a person. It's the mistakes that you make that you will learn most from. Don't beat yourself up over the past, learn from it so that you do even better in the future. Confucious, the Chinese philosopher said 'Things that are done, it is needless to speak about. Things that are past, it is needless to blame'. You can't change the past however, you can change the future. Start now.
- Take risks - not life threatening ones, but allow yourself to push out of your comfort zone. Get into the stretch zone more often and as you accomplish new challenges and goals your self-esteem will soar.
- Visualise yourself at the end of your life, looking back at the things you have done. What do you want to say at that time? You wanted to be a trapeze artist but didn't know if you could? That you met your dreams head on? Aim for the moon and you might just hit the stars.

Revitalise - How to boost your system and energy levels
A message from Noelyne...
Give your system a bost every now and then by taking steps to revitalise your energy levels. If you are very busy or have been unwell, it can leave you feeling sluggish and listless. Taking time regularly to recharge will infuse you with vitality. Here are some tips for revitalising yourself: some are quick fixes others will need more time and dedication.
- Revitalising yourself through nourishing food - is the perfect place to start. The food on our plates today is not as nutritious as it was 10 years ago. Intensive farming, chemicals, supermarkets and the fast pace of life all contribute to poorer quality. If you are fortunate to be able to buy farm fresh or even produce your own then you stand a better chance of having the right level of vitamins etc in your diet.
- Think about the food you eat. Eating sugary foods will give you an instant high however, will ultimately make you feel slow and sluggish. A detox can bring a new sense of vitality and regenerate your system. Try spring cleaning your body by eating raw fruit and vegetables and unprocessed seeds, nuts and grains, which improve cellular functioning and increase stamina and energy.
- Try a weekend detax or fast.
- Use colour therapy to revitalise yourself. Red, the colour of energy, can stimulate vitality and can also promote self-confidence, courage, stability, security, passion and physical activity.
- Drink Aloe Vera Gel - This will increase your energy levels long term. It works by improving the body's absorption of vitamins and minerals from teh food you eat and also is full of essential nutrients, vitamins, minerals and amino acid. Make sure the drink is made from the inner leaf gel only.
