5 Easy Rules for Lifelong Healthy Eating

A Message from Noelyne.....

1.  Go for quality
Buy the best quality food that your budget will allow.
2.  Cook/prepare as many of your meals as possible

Don't be tempted by those convenience foods too often, make them an exception rather than the norm.  Still way too much fat, sugar and salt even though producers have reduced quantities significantly
3.  Never go on a diet
Diets DO NOT work long term.  You need to re-educate yourself to understand what healthy eating means and then balance your food, making sure your body receives the nutrition it needs for optimum health.  Make this a part of your normal daily habits.  It takes 21 days to form a habit so persevere.
4.  Let yourself get hungry – know when you are full
Only eat when you are hungry and stop once you are full.

5.  Use carbohydrate tapering during the day
Eat large amounts of carbohydrates in the morning and reduce portions throughout the day.  Your body needs carbohydrate first thing to kick start the day.  You don't need large amounts in the evening.

Enjoy!
